Massive Autoadapt line-up at the 2010 Mobility Roadshow

With a massive line-up at the 2010 Mobility Roadshow Autoadapt UK Ltd sets the standard for entire car mobility industry.

The Autoadapt 6-Way Power Seat Base debuts at the 2010 Mobility Roadshow. Also showcased are the Top Slider Person Hoist, Driver Test Station, Fiorella Inboard Tail Lift, plus new safer designed Turnout and Turny Swivel Seats.

Comprised of four models featuring enhancements to the physically challenged and two all-new versions of the market leading swivel seats, Autoadapt UK Ltd sets the standard for the entire car mobility industry.

"We want to strike a blow for people with reduced mobility and their right to demand as safe and handsome a car as any other car buyer", says John Bhogal, Sales Director at Autoadapt UK Ltd. in Birmingham, one of the largest mobility industry distributors in Great Britain and NI, as well as in Rep. of Ireland, and a part of the Autoadapt Group, an internationally leading product provider in the field of car adaptation for the elderly and disabled.

At The Mobility Roadshow 2010 Autoadapt UK Ltd. will be showcasing its complete range of innovative designed crash-tested products:

Autoadapt 6-Way Power Seat Base
The Autoadapt 6-Way Power Seat Base debuts at The Mobility Roadshow 2010.

The installation of a 6-way Power Transfer Seat makes for easy, fast and fluid transferring from your wheelchair to the driver's or passenger's seat of your vehicle and is ideal for use in cars converted with a hoist. The Autoadapt 6-Way Base is the worlds first 6-Way Base crash tested according to global and European standards for vehicles.

"When seated at the wheel you use the vehicle’s original seat belt. The seat belt receptacle in the 6-Way Base has been thoroughly tested including crash testing", states John Bhogal.

Top Slider
Now Autoadapt have found a way of helping disabled people travel by car – without having to rebuild the car first!

Top Slider is a smart person lift mounted on an ordinary roof rack. That’s all that’s needed to enable physically challenged people to use a car and get back in the swim.

The clever design of the Top Slider gives it a maximum permitted lifting capacity of no less than 20.5 stones. Moreover the lift is entirely manual. The assistant has full control of the movement, so there is no risk of the person who is being helped being left hanging outside the car. The lift can be used on any car and can be placed beside the back seat or the front seat.
"It is a great advantage that the lift can be taken down from the roof rack and transferred to another car", explains John Bhogal.

Fiorella Inboard Tail Lift
When it comes to entering the vehicle in style the Fiorella Inboard Tail Lift including Total Drive from Fiorella Wheelchair Systems has the edge.

The unique Italian design allows excellent integration into the vehicle. The Fiorella Lift is designed to be attractive, as well as functional, reliable and silent.

The hoist is available in two models for side door and rear door installation. The Fiorella Wheelchair Lift is more compact than other lifts on the market and can therefore be fitted even in small cars. Load capacity is 47 stones. Autoadapt has acquired the right to sell the hoist worldwide.

Autoadapt Driver Test Station
The Autoadapt Driver Test Station gaines momentum in the U.K. It's an evaluator tool used to determine an individual’s abilities as a driver in a "vehicle atmosphere". The DTS Test Station is equipped electronically and mechanically using technical aids specific to various impairments, such as rheumatism, MS, spinal cord injuries, spastics, and many more.

"The effect will be that the driver will be able to try out adaptations that are unique to his/hers individual needs, and test acceleration, braking and steering cues as if he or she were actually driving a real car", explains John Bhogal.

All-new Turnout and Turny swivel seats
Finally, on display at The Mobility Roadshow 2010 are also completely redesigned versions of the Turnout swivel seat and the Turny swivelling car seat lift. The new Turny 480 is specially adapted for high-sill vehicles, such as SUVs, MPVs and vans. Both are designed to allow people with reduced mobility to get in and out of their car with ease.

Since its debut Turny and Turnout have been recognised as the leading retro-fit swivel seats in the industry, and have led the market as the epitome of the swivel seats.

The new models unveiled extend the advanced functioning of the previous generation, including a more robust design ready to meet future safety demands, and a completely new electric system with increased squeeze protection and a diagnostic tool with a trouble code identification mode.

"With the all-new Turnout and Turny an impaired customer can get a comfortable driving experience and benefit of superior performance, satisfying the diverse needs of individuality, at the same time displaying a strong feeling of stylishness in any car model", concludes John Bhogal.

The Autoadapt dealer network sells and installs the products. The Autoadapt dealer network in Great Britain and NI, as well as in Rep. of Ireland are very well developed, with about 80 companies that carry out individual car adaptations and conversions. Please click here to find a dealer.
